Heater For Patio: Types & Facts
Winter can be a real pain when you have a gorgeous patio space. We often get trapped indoors because of the cold weather, this can all be easily fixed with a heater for patio spaces. This is an easy way to make sitting outside and using your patio space much more comfortable during the colder months. Below we’ll go over a few options you have when it comes to heaters for your patio space.
The first kind are wall mounted patio heaters and by far the most convenient. This kind of heater allows you to keep all your patio space all while keeping you warm. It is wall mounted meaning that the heat comes from above and doesn’t take up floor space like other heaters. Wall mounted heater for patio is usually either electric heat or infrared heat and it is adjustable so you can tilt it up or down. This tilting action is great when you need to change which way the heat is going. If you have a larger space, you can mount a couple along the top of the wall to cover the space completely. These really do warm you up on those cold nights.
The second type of heater for patio is the table top, which is great if you have a dining space. They keep you warm while you sit at the table and usually take the form of a floor lamp. While they do their job, they can sometimes be a bit large for a smaller tables and can make trying to see someone a bit of an obstacle. These work better if you have a side table next to some chairs as it’s more out of the way and you don’t have to struggle to see who you’re talking to. You can find them in both electric or the gas kind depending on your preferences.
The third type is the floor or free standing patio heater. These are usually used in large spaces like outdoor restaurants or near a pool area. They are mostly fueled by gas, although you can sometimes find electric ones. These are great at heating up larger spaces but can take up a lot of room. If you have a smaller patio, this probably isn’t your best choice; the free-standing patio heater can sometimes be too large and bulky for smaller spaces and it can make you too hot if you are planning to sit closely to it for an extended amount of time. If you have a large patio, then this is probably the better choice for you.
Finding a great heater for patio space really comes down to what you need and what kind of space you have. If you have a small patio, opt for a wall mounted heater, if you have an entertaining space with some extra side tables, then the table top patio heater is for you. If you have a large outdoor space with a lot of extra room, then the floor heater is your best option. You should ask yourself what you want for your outdoor space and figure out how much space you have to work with so you are able to make the best choice.
